The Cabildo of Tenerife presented in May 37 new Titsa buses (guaguas), which will operate in different lines in the north and south parts of the island. With this third delivery of new vehicles, which represents an investement of 7.3 million euros, 138 units have already been delivered to Titsa since 2015, as part of the plans to renew the fleet, so as to make public transport more modern and eco-friendly, as well as more accessible for people with reduced mobility.

This new fleet includes 6 long-distance units, with capacity for 67 passengers and 1 seat for wheelchairs; 20 standard intercity vehicles with 47 seats and 2 for wheelchairs; 4 suburban vehicles with 39 seats and 2 for wheelchairs; and 7 units with 35 seats and 2 for wheelchairs.

The new long-distance buses will be used on the lines from Santa Cruz to Puerto de la Cruz (101, 102 and 103), as well as to Buenavista (107) or Icod de los Vinos (108), or from Puerto de la Cruz to Buenavista (363) and from El Médano to Los Cristianos (470). The buses serving the airports (343 and 102) have larger luggage compartments, and the new city buses can be found in the greater area of Santa Cruz and La Laguna (lines 014, 015, 051, 105).
