A few weeks ago, near the coast of Güímar and Fasnia, in Tenerife, a diver discovered what is thought to be the remains of a ship that sank in 1862, the Tinerfe, whose location on the seabed was, up until now, unknown.

The Naval Command will be responsible for determining the coordinates, according to the photographs and information of the diver, to avoid its plunder. However, the extraction of the supposed Tinerfe would be a very complex and expensive process, since the shipwreck is in an area almost inaccessible and quite dangerous due to the strong currents. So the best option to preserve the remains will be to leave them at the bottom of the sea.
