Last May, Loro Parque inaugurated Lion's Kingdom, an impressive 1,000m2 display of African lions, which perfectly recreates the natural habitat of these animals.
Over 250 people, including political authorities, civilians and entrepreneurs, enjoyed various African dance performances and saw the lions. It is important to highlight the work of the zoo in the defense of nature and in the care of threatened animals, as well as the importance of this exhibition as a tourist attraction.
Lope Afonso, the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, was lost for words when trying to classify the incredible work of Loro Parque regarding the concern for the welfare of the animals, while the park hopes to raise awareness and preserve the animals on the planet.
